ONE – Spinning and grass
The weavers will spin a very fine thread of sisal which will be wrapped around a thin, malleable\u00a0species of grass well suited to the discs.

TWO: Starting the weave coil
Using a single stem of grass, the disc is created using a wrapping and coiling technique. Here the\u00a0stem is simultaneously covered with sisal and coiled to form a disc. This continues until the desired size is attained.\u00a0\u00a0

THREE – Finishing
To finish the discs\u00a0the weaver binds the end of the grass and the sisal in a smooth, neat, almost indiscernible\u00a0finish.\u00a0

FOUR – Grading
Discs are then put through a strict grading process. This is a vitally important part of the Tintsaba jewelry\u00a0making process. Only the top 10% of all sisal discs produced will be used in our Silver range.\u00a0Market Grade discs are used in our Natural jewelry range and Craft Grade discs are rejected or used for making samples.<\/p>\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t
